Obish Construction Limited Partnership

A partnership between MCL and Lac Seul First Nation

Founded in 2010, Obish was formed to take on projects in the traditional territory of Lac Seul First Nation. Obish has successfully completed projects for OPG, Hydro One, Valard Construction, Evolution Mining, PureGold, and many others.

SOW Construction Limited Partnership

A partnership between MCL and Wabaseemoong Independent Nation

SOW is an acronym representing the three participating communities forming Wabaseemoong Independent Nations : Swan Lake, One Man Lake, and Whitedog. SOW was established in 2016 to undertake projects in the traditional territory of those communities, and has successfully completed projects for OPG, Hydro One, MTO, and others.

A partnership between MCL and Mishkeegogamang First Nation

Missabay Contracting LP formed in 2019 and has successfully completed projects for MTO, Valard Construction, Hydro One, and others in traditional Mishkeegogamang territory including Pickle Lake and Pipestone areas.

MCL-MII LP

A Partnership between MCL and Metis Infinity Investments

Formed in 2019, MCL-MII LP is a partnership with the Metis Nation of Ontario through Metis Infinity Investments. MCL-MII LP has worked on construction projects for New Gold Rainy River Mine and other projects in Northern Ontario including Hydro One Substation Foundations for Valard Construction at Dinorwic, ON, scheduled for completion in 2022.

Wataynikaneyap Power Distribution Project - Northern Ontario

A coordinated effort involving multiple partnerships and scopes of work over hundreds of kilometres of Northern Ontario wilderness.

MCL has formed agreements with Northern Communities to enable their participation in the construction on the Wataynikaneyap Power project – completing ROW clearing, Substation Civil Works, Tower Foundation Installation, Access Road Construction, and more.

  • TKG/MCL LP – Thawikayigan (TKG) LP representing 7 First Nation communities located north of Pickle Lake, ON.
