Survey CAD Technician

Primary responsibilities:

  • Produce survey layout files such as CSV point file, DXF linework and TTM/XML surfaces for the field survey crews

  • Receive, organize, and manage a database of raw survey data over various job types.

  • Construct and maintain as-built drawings and reline drawing database.

  • Compute various volume calculations and other quantity calculations in a timely manner.

  • Design and produce drawings for various road, sewer and powerlines projects as needed. (small scale projects)

  • Work closely with project managers, supervisors, engineers, surveyors, and clients.


  • Minimum 2 years experience in construction survey drafting or an equivalent role

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D software

  • Photogrammetry and GIS experience would be considered an asset.

  • Previous field survey experience would be considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 55 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kenora, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


  • AutoCAD: 2 years (required)

  • Surveying: 2 years (preferred)


  • Drivers Licence (required)
