Duties and Responsibilities:

  • cash management and reconciliation of bank accounts, overview of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll

  • preparation of journal entries and variance analysis to compare actual results with operating budgets.

  • Will include the preparation of GST and RST remittances and other special reports.

  • Have a solid understanding of accounting concepts, bookkeeping experience, a working knowledge of Excel, and good communication skills.

  • Track project progress, prepare tax remittances, manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing

  • Manage multiple entities under different legal umbrellas

  • Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems

  • Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies, procedures and internal controls

  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors

  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data; recommending plans

  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends, including quarterly P&L reporting

  • Will perform a broad range of accounting functions for a portfolio of properties and companies

* If not local, must be willing to relocate to Kenora, ON * Must be a Certified General Accountant (Minimum)


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Salary: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

  • construction: 3 years (preferred)
