Duties and Responsibilities:
cash management and reconciliation of bank accounts, overview of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
preparation of journal entries and variance analysis to compare actual results with operating budgets.
Will include the preparation of GST and RST remittances and other special reports.
Have a solid understanding of accounting concepts, bookkeeping experience, a working knowledge of Excel, and good communication skills.
Track project progress, prepare tax remittances, manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing
Manage multiple entities under different legal umbrellas
Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems
Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies, procedures and internal controls
Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends, including quarterly P&L reporting
Will perform a broad range of accounting functions for a portfolio of properties and companies
* If not local, must be willing to relocate to Kenora, ON * Must be a Certified General Accountant (Minimum)
